Azeroth Survivors is a survivors-like roguelite: your hero attacks automatically while you move through waves of enemies, and you pick upgrades as you level up. It sets that loop in a world inspired by World of Warcraft. It is a free fan project by Aethus, not a Vampire Survivors mod or an official sequel.

What “survivors-like” means

Vampire Survivors popularised the format, and players now name similar games after it. The common basics: you steer one character, attacks fire on their own, enemies keep coming, and each level-up offers a choice of upgrades. Player videos and posts introduce Azeroth Survivors as “World of Warcraft meets Vampire Survivors”.

What Azeroth Survivors shares with the genre

  • Automatic attacks: your spells cast on their own; you concentrate on movement.
  • Level-up cards: press 1, 2 or 3 to pick a card, or R to reroll. A card adds a new spell or upgrades one you own.
  • Timed runs: a run clock and a boss schedule. In Elwynn Forest the bosses arrive at 3:00, 6:00, 9:00, 12:00 and 16:00.
  • Gold and run items: you collect gold and experience, buy caches and find jewellery during a run.

What is specific to Azeroth Survivors

  • Nine WoW-style classes: Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock and Druid. Each starts with its own spell, such as Cleave for Warrior or Fireball for Mage. See the class table.
  • Talents per class: runs award talent experience. Each class spends points in three talent trees, and respecs are free.
  • Permanent gear: each class keeps the equipment it collects in its Armory, separate from the jewellery found during a run.
  • A zone chain: 12 zones, from Elwynn Forest to Naxxramas. Defeating a zone's final boss opens the next one for that class. See the zone order.
  • Co-op: Play with friends lets a host run a lobby that friends join by code. See the co-op guide.
