Open the browser game, choose a class, and start in Elwynn Forest. For a first attempt, your useful goal is to learn the movement and upgrade screens. You do not need a finished build before entering the world.

Start from the right game

Our Play panel loads the Aethus browser game. If it struggles inside the panel, use Open in new tab in a separate tab. The GitHub community reconstruction is a different build; its instructions do not always describe the game you are about to play.

Choose a class before chasing a build

The menu shows the class’s opening spell. Warrior starts with Cleave, Hunter with Auto Shot, and Mage with Fireball. Use the full starting-spell table to compare the other choices. These are starting points, not a strength ranking.

Our advice: try one class for a few runs before switching. That gives you a useful comparison when you change an upgrade or your movement. Comparing an unfamiliar class against a well-developed one can make the difference look larger than it is.

Read the controls on your current build

The v0.91.2 menu lists WASD or both mouse buttons for movement, number keys 1–3 for a card choice, R for rerolls and Enter to play. Check the on-screen prompt before spending a reroll. Do not assume the community reconstruction’s level-five F skill exists in this build.

Work toward the first clear

Elwynn’s menu lists Edwin VanCleef at 16:00. The next region, Duskwood, requires defeating him. Simply reaching the timer is not the unlock condition displayed by the game. See the zone sequence for what follows.

During a run, look for space before moving toward experience or loot. If a route closes, turn early rather than squeezing through a dense pack. At an upgrade screen, read the change and choose for the problem you are facing. These are general survival suggestions, not a tested optimal build.

After the run

Inspect your class’s Armory and Talents. The original announcement describes permanent boss equipment and talent experience earned through runs. Before changing browsers or clearing storage, export a backup.
