Quick summary: spend 33 points in Balance and 18 in Restoration, keep Starfire, Wrath and Moonfire, and put every upgrade into Starfire. Banish Regrowth, Faerie Fire and Insect Swarm. Wear Quick Strike Ring and Master Dragonslayer’s Ring, with Mark of the Chosen and Blackhand’s Breadth.

Four players on asbuilds.app publish nearly identical trees, the closest agreement we found for any class. It is a developed character’s setup: a fresh Druid starts weak.

Talent points: 33 Balance / 18 Restoration

care (29 October), Parametics_Starfire (25 October), HordeusDK (29 October) and fozhu publish nearly identical 51-point trees. Holdherhand’s 21 October guide describes the same shape: deep Balance, then the last 18 points in Restoration for damage, health and cooldown nodes.

Shared Balance Druid allocation, from player builds
TreeTalents and ranks
Balance (33)Improved Wrath 5, Improved Moonfire 2, Natural Weapons 5, Omen of Clarity 1, Vengeance 5, Improved Starfire 3, Moonglow 3, Starfall 1, Moonfury 5, Nature’s Reach 2, Force of Nature 1
Restoration (18)Improved Mark of the Wild 5, Furor 5, Nature’s Focus 5, Tranquil Spirit 3

The milestones do the work. Omen of Clarity gives every spell a chance to call down a free Starfire, Starfall drops a free Starfire every 4 seconds, and Force of Nature adds two treants and starts you with Moonfire. A YouTube commenter prefers 31 Balance / 20 Restoration with Tranquil Spirit at 5; that is one viewer’s variant.

Spells to keep and banish

You start with Wrath, and Force of Nature adds Moonfire. Collect six spells, then banish the three you will not level so cards keep offering your core three. Holdherhand’s build page (28 October) keeps Starfire, Wrath and Moonfire and banishes Regrowth, Faerie Fire and Insect Swarm. A viewer on his video suggests not banishing Wrath until it has about 53% cooldown reduction; that is a comment, not a tested rule.

Upgrade priority

  • Starfire, always. Holdherhand says even an orange Wrath card loses to a Starfire card, and several builds are labelled “Starfire only”.
  • Jewellery before the amulet. Once you have a legendary necklace, each necklace upgrade adds only a few percent by his estimate; upgrade rings and trinkets first.
  • Luck early. Players take luck first for rarer cards. Gnome adds 20% luck in the game data.

Rings, trinkets and amulet

About 15 of 25 Druid builds on asbuilds.app use the same set: Quick Strike Ring (cooldown) and Master Dragonslayer’s Ring (critical chance), plus Mark of the Chosen (luck) and Blackhand’s Breadth (critical damage). Players who skip luck take Hand of Justice.

For the necklace, wear Pristine Enchanted South Seas Kelp (luck and gold) until a Starfire legendary appears. Holdherhand’s build names it Eye of the Splitting Sky; that legendary is player-reported and not in our data extract. Choker of Enlightenment and Onyxia Tooth Pendant are the fallbacks players mention. Several builds also cite the full Stormrage set; its bonus text is player-reported.

How to play the run

Balance can mostly stand still once Starfire and critical chance are online. It still gets one-shot by boss area attacks, so move during mechanics: Grinding Gold Forever (26 October) and Ayksee (29 October) both died standing still. In a five-player party, Grinding Gold Forever felt the Druid carried and revived others.

Alternative: Moon Bear

Holdherhand showed a Swipe and Starfire hybrid on Heroic V (29 October). His build page levels Swipe cooldown first, then Starfire, and banishes Shred, Wrath and Moonfire. care and two other players post similar Bear-Starfire builds. Its talent points are not published, so we do not list them; Dire Bear Form and Omen of Clarity are implied but unverified.

Common mistakes

  • Banishing the wrong spells. Holdherhand lost Starfire offers in one Heroic run after a banish slip.
  • Over-levelling the legendary necklace while rings and trinkets are weak.
  • Standing still through boss area attacks.
  • Building around Thorns for damage. Sodapoppin (26 October) found it weak.

What we have not verified

We have not played this build. The talent table repeats four player pages; we checked that every talent name and rank exists in v0.130.0, not that the tree is the best one. No source states a game version, and Holdherhand’s guide video is probably older than v0.115. The Starfire legendary, tier-set bonus and per-upgrade percentages are player statements.

Sources & scope

Player builds, video metadata and English auto-captions collected on 30 October 2026. The talent allocation comes from four asbuilds.app build pages that publish it point by point; spells, bans and jewellery from Holdherhand’s build page and two of his videos. Talent names, ranks and rows were checked against our v0.130.0 (e7d9dd47) data; most sources do not state a game version, and some predate v0.130.0. These are attributed player builds, not setups we have played or ranked.
