The Armory is where each class keeps its gear between runs. Zone bosses drop pieces for the class you play. Runs earn marks, which upgrade a piece from 0 to 5 stars. Stars are capped by Heroic clears: beating Heroic I in a set’s zones opens its stars. Four pieces of one set at 1 star or more give a 4-piece bonus, and all eight at 3 stars or more give an 8-piece bonus, half again as strong at 5 stars.

The Armory tabs

Open the Armory from the hero picker. In v0.128.0 (678382d4) it has five tabs: Character, Collection, Drop Tables, Codex and Achievements. The game notes that gear and looks are kept per class.

  • Character: the worn pieces and the hero’s look. Right-click a piece to equip or unequip it; Shift+Right-click shows it as that slot’s look. Only worn pieces add bonuses.
  • Collection: “Click a piece for its bonuses and the bosses that drop it.” It also counts what is still to find in your open zones.
  • Drop Tables: which pieces each zone drops for your class. “Each piece drops on its own roll; a duplicate adds nothing.”
  • Codex and Achievements: see items and the Codex and achievements.

A fresh character wears starting clothes; the game says “Nothing worn adds anything yet: bosses drop the class’s gear.”

Marks and stars

Runs award marks for the class you played; the game reports “You earn N marks”. Spend them on a piece’s Upgrade button. Each piece goes from 0 to 5 stars, and each star adds to its bonus lines. The card shows what the next star adds and its cost in marks.

Stars are capped by Heroic difficulty. Until you beat Heroic I in a set’s zones, the Armory says “Beat Heroic I in its zones to open stars”. Higher star counts open as your class beats higher Heroic levels in those zones. See Difficulty and Heroic levels. Five-star weapons can show the Icy Chill weapon glow.

Set bonuses

  • 4-piece: wear 4 armor pieces of one set at 1 star or more.
  • 8-piece: wear all 8 armor pieces of the set at 3 stars or more.
  • Empowered: at 5 stars on all eight, the 8-piece bonus is half again as strong.

The eight armor slots are head, shoulder, chest, waist, legs, feet, wrist and hands. Weapons, off-hands, ranged items and back pieces are separate from the set count.

Gear bonus lines

Gear bonus lines use 15 bonus types in the v0.128.0 (678382d4) data. N is the value on the piece.

Spending marks well

These are suggestions from the rules above, not tested results. Push four pieces of one set to 1 star first: that opens the 4-piece bonus for little cost. Then bring all eight of one set to 3 stars for the 8-piece bonus before spreading marks around. Duplicates add nothing, so check the Drop Tables for zones that still have pieces you lack. For which class to invest in first, see the tier list.

Questions

What are marks in Azeroth Survivors?

Marks are earned from runs for the class you played. You spend them in the Armory to upgrade a piece of that class’s gear, up to 5 stars.

How do I open more stars on my gear?

Beat Heroic difficulty in the zones that drop that set. Until you beat Heroic I there, the Armory says to do so before stars open.

How do set bonuses work?

Four armor pieces of one set at 1 star or more give the 4-piece bonus. All eight at 3 stars or more give the 8-piece bonus, which is half again as strong when all eight are at 5 stars.

Is gear shared between classes?

No. The Armory keeps gear and looks per class, and bosses drop pieces for the class you are playing.

Do duplicate drops do anything?

No. The game says each piece drops on its own roll and a duplicate adds nothing.

Sources & scope

Set and weapon names, slots, rarities and bonus lines come from the v0.128.0 (678382d4) game data extracted on 2026-10-29; the rules quoted below are the same build’s Armory interface text. Bonus amounts and star values are filled in by the game at runtime, so they are not listed. The data numbers sets 0 to 4 per class; we have not confirmed which zone drops which set or rarity, and we did not upgrade any piece for this page.
