Azeroth Survivors is a free fan-made game by Aethus. Its official home is wow.aethus.pl. It is not made, endorsed or published by Blizzard Entertainment. The browser version needs no account and no installer.

What is Azeroth Survivors, and where is the official site?

Azeroth Survivors is a survivors-like roguelite: your spells cast automatically while you move through waves of enemies. It is made by Aethus and runs at wow.aethus.pl. Its launcher checks the address before it starts. On any other site, or inside a frame on another page, the game does not start and shows: “Fake website detected! Azeroth Survivors is free at its real page:” with a link to wow.aethus.pl.

If you see that message, you are on a copy. Close it and type wow.aethus.pl yourself.

Is it made by Blizzard?

No. Azeroth Survivors is a fan project inspired by World of Warcraft. Blizzard Entertainment does not make, publish or endorse it. World of Warcraft and its artwork belong to Blizzard Entertainment. You do not need a Battle.net account or a World of Warcraft subscription to play.

Is it free?

Yes. The browser game is free, and the game's own fake-site warning calls it “free at its real page”. We found no price or purchase step in the files we read. The menu has an optional “Buy me a coffee :)” link to support the developer. Our free-play and download guide has the details.

Do you need an account?

No. The browser game has no sign-in. It saves your progress in the browser you play in, at wow.aethus.pl. To keep a copy, use Options → Saves → Export Save. A co-op host can put a password on a lobby; that is a lobby setting, not an account.

Never enter a password or payment details to unlock the game. The files we read ask for neither.

Does the browser version install anything?

No installer is needed. The browser downloads the game's files as it loads, so the first start can take a while on a slow connection. Your browser needs WebGPU; the requirements guide lists the launcher's checks.

Is the Windows download safe? Checking it for viruses

The game page also offers “download the game for Windows”, a file named AzerothSurvivorsWindowsNew.rar on wow.aethus.pl. On 2026-10-28 the server reported a RAR archive of 754,921,096 bytes (about 755 MB), last changed on 19 October 2026. The size changes with new builds.

We have not scanned or run the archive, so we cannot call it safe or virus-free. Download it only from the link on wow.aethus.pl, not from a re-upload. Scan the archive and its contents with your own antivirus before you run anything.

The browser version is the lower-risk choice: it runs inside your browser at wow.aethus.pl and installs no program.

azeroth-survivors.org is an independent fan guide. We do not host the game; our Play button opens wow.aethus.pl in a new tab. We write guides and a reference wiki from the game's own files and dated player sources. Our optional Cloud Saves stores backup files you upload yourself, and it is not run by the game's developer.
