Whiter’s 14 October Paladin showcase combines Holy Shield with damage reduction and healing equipment. He reports an Elwynn Forest clear with the setup. This gives you a concrete interaction to try, with room to adapt to the cards you receive.
What makes the combination work
In the explanation at 6:59 ↗, Holy Shield hurts enemies that attack the Paladin. Reduction effects limit the incoming damage, while healing helps restore the health lost. Retaliation supplies damage while those other effects keep the character alive.
Those parts need to work together. Finding Holy Shield alone does not establish that you can safely absorb a whole pack. If health keeps falling, move out and look for a safer route.
Use the cards you actually receive
- Begin with the spell shown in your current class picker. Our fresh v0.91.2 Paladin started with Consecration.
- If Holy Shield appears, read its effect and consider building around retaliation.
- Look for reduction and healing effects among the offered choices. The recording describes effects rather than a required named item set.
- Keep enough damage and movement room to survive while the combination is incomplete.
The final step is our practical suggestion. The source does not give a guaranteed offer sequence or a fallback that reproduces the same result.
Read the current Protection tree
Protection is the talent direction in the recording. Inspect the current game’s tooltips before spending points: familiar World of Warcraft names do not establish identical effects in this game. Whiter also describes different Paladin runs developing differently, so this is an interaction to build toward, not a fixed six-spell prescription.
What the clear does and does not establish
The showcase is one player’s result, with no controlled comparison at equal gear and talent investment. It does not establish a best class or an invulnerable fresh character. Keep permanent equipment separate from temporary run jewellery when comparing your attempt.
