The original browser game’s checked build is v0.115.0 (6d1c4473). Our previous data snapshot was v0.103.1 (671c6f5e), extracted on 20 October. The comparison matters most for Warrior and Warlock talent advice: names and effects in those trees have changed, so an older point-by-point guide can now describe a different build.
Talent names now mean different things
| v0.103.1 | v0.115.0 | What to check in your build |
|---|---|---|
| Improved Heroic Strike: stronger weapon swings | Trauma: more damage to enemies affected by your damage-over-time effects. | Read the interaction with Rend and Deep Wounds before copying an old Arms allocation. |
| Unbridled Wrath: stronger weapon swings | Bloodlust: stronger damage, haste, shield and thorns buffs, including Battle Shout. | Check the buffs you use rather than treating it as the old weapon-swing bonus. |
| Dark Pact: maximum health | Soul Reaping: Death Coil deals part of Drain Life’s remaining damage without consuming it. | Revisit an Affliction plan that used this position for extra health. |
These are changes to the recorded names and descriptions, not damage rankings. Use the Warrior guide and current Warrior talent table when choosing points.
Warlock: Demonology needs a fresh plan
The older Demonology snapshot includes Fel Intellect, Improved Health Funnel and Demonic Sacrifice. The current tree instead contains a different summon structure, including Demonic Familiar, Legion Gate, Summon Infernal, Summon Doomguard and Demonic Supremacy.
Demonic Familiar supplies a permanent Imp. Demonic Supremacy makes Infernal and Doomguard permanent while preventing lesser-demon summons. The two current capstones, Pact of the Annihilan and Butcher, are marked as mutually exclusive and summon a Pit Lord or Felguard respectively. Read those choices together before committing a build around a particular army.
Destruction also has a practical starting-spell change in its recorded description: Conflagrate now says that a run starts with Immolate. Scorched Earth’s description focuses on Hellfire damage and slowing enemies with its pulses. Check the Demonology guide and full Warlock reference for the current tree, rather than mapping an old screenshot by its button positions.
Current systems worth checking
The current game text includes Play with friends, public lobbies, code-based joining and proximity revives. Our co-op guide explains the host and guest steps and the version checks. This confirms their presence in the checked build; it does not date their introduction.
The browser also has Options → AddOns → Install AddOns. The original installer reads ZIPs and loads enabled addons at the next run. Our addon guide links the authors’ projects and explains updating and browser storage. For saves, the current Options text says the game keeps the latest five hourly playtime backups. Keep your own exported save before restoring one.
Before following an older guide
Compare the version label, selected class and equipped talents with the guide. The two snapshots both list nine classes and twelve zones, so a matching class or zone count alone does not prove that the talent advice is current. Record run options and equipment too if you compare performance.
This comparison does not assign individual changes to intermediate releases or establish a new best class. It gives you specific old assumptions to recheck in the original game and links the updated references for doing so.
